Painting the snow!

One day, after it had snowed during the night, we decided to go play outside. I found a cute idea on pinterest that I was excited to try out.

So we bundled up our little bean and headed to USU campus.

We filled some condiment bottles with water and food coloring and painted the snow! It was so much fun. Soph loved it and so did we!

We even attempted a snowman...

But we got lazy at the end :)

After, we came home and drank hot chocolate and watched the Tigger Movie.

It was a perfect snow day :)

Halloween/Nov/Dec

We had a really fun Halloween this year! (Well, I guess last year...) I got Soph's costume for 85 cents when I was pregnant with her - just like last year's spider costume.

She was adorable, as usual.

We took her to our ward Trunk or Treat...

She picked up on the trick-or-treating concept right away! She wouldn't actually say "trick-or-treat" but she would grab her piece of candy, put it in her bucket, and say "thank you! bye!" It was so cute!

It wasn't long before she wanted to enjoy her loot!

Jonny had class til 7:30 on Halloween, but we decided to stop at a few houses on our way home from picking him up. Sophie was a pro by then, and knew exactly what to do! The only problem was that she kept wanting to walk right inside people's houses :)

We didn't carve pumpkins as a family, but I did make these little guys...

They got spookier as the month went on (read: they got moldy and rotten).

Soph and Maren still have the best time together. Here is Soph giving her one of her famously awkward hugs :)

I love fall, so I was very excited for the cooler weather! Especially because it meant I could pull out Soph's coat and boots, which I love :)

It also meant it was time to stock up on soups!

Can you tell butternut squash soup is our favorite??

Soph loves to get tangled in her jammies while she sleeps. This is right after she woke up...

As the weather got colder and colder, we spent more and more time at the library. Soph loves the computer games there.

Sophie discovered the joys of homemade pudding. She is quite the helper in the kitchen :)

We spent some time with family during those couple of months. I brought some foam stickers to my parents' house and the kiddos loved them!

We stopped at firehouse subs (one of my favorites!) on our way to Jonny's parents' house and I think Sophie likes it just as much as I do.

Plus she looked adorable in the hat :)

September - October

Ok, folks. Now that I'm caught up on our summer, I can blog about our last year in Logan! I'm a pretty great blogger, huh? I just like to think that I'm keeping my readers on my toes, but in reality I'm awesome at starting posts... and not so awesome at finishing them. I may or may not have 7 posts in the "draft" phase that I have yet to finish. We'll see what happens.

We moved into our townhouse, which we really love. We're kinda sick of moving though! Sophie loves it too, and especially loves the stairs. She's only fallen down once, but it was from all the way at the top, then she smacked her head on the tile floor at the bottom. Youch. She hardly cried though. What a stud.

I don't remember many details from that long ago, so this will mostly be random pictures...

We have a lovely little park right across the street from us, which we enjoyed when the weather was warmer.

Sophie is such a joy. I love her to death. We are best friends, and she keeps me laughing all day long!

She has quite the sweet tooth, just like her mama :)

I don't remember where we were driving to in this next pic, but Soph had a bad diaper rash. So when she told us she was poopy, we pulled over, cleaned her up, and let her go naked for a few minutes to air it out. She was loving it (and my soda)

She is absolutely obsessed with my spices, which are in a drawer that she can reach. Usually it's no problem, but one day she broke open a big thing of peppercorns. This is her "guilty face"

This girl is all about organization! She loves to organize her toys (and anything of mine she can get her hands on) and arrange them in certain ways. This is from when we visited Ash and Jord in Ephraim and she made a tower with their dishes...

It's so funny to watch, cause once she gets something in her head, and knows how she wants something arranged, nothing will distract her til she's finished.

In this case, it looks like she just threw all of the drinks on the couch, but she meticulously placed eached one exactly where she wanted it and moved them around til it was just right.

For the sake of my sanity, my friend Kendall and I do babysitting swaps. This way we each get a few hours each week to ourselves, which helps charge my "mommy batteries" and prevents me from wanting to pull my hair out. Love my little girl to death, but sometimes a mom just needs a break, y'all.

Sophie and Maren have so much fun together, so it's good for them too :)

Soph still sleeps with blankets on her head. She loves the dark, so she has to cover her head to make sure no light gets in.

Oh my heavens, we introduced the little gal to cupcakes and I don't think her world will ever be the same. She was in toddler heaven!

We tried to get her to go potty on the toilet one day. It didn't go over so well...

We got her to stay on for 20 minutes but nothing happened :(

She thought the whole thing was a little weird, and to prevent us from putting her on again, she stopped telling us when she has to go to the bathroom. Little stinker!

One of her favorite games to play is to pretend like she's about to fall off of something (couch, stairs, bed..) then leap into our arms. She loves it, but I just keep waiting for the day she does it when I'm not looking and she faceplants on the floor. Let's just hope that doesn't happen!
