So, the American Academy of Pediatrics came out and said that bumper pads should be removed from cribs. They said they don't prevent injury, and can cause suffocation.

Well, we tried it out. Within just minutes of putting Sophie down for a nap she started screeching. I ran in to find that her leg had slipped through the bars and she was stuck :( After pulling her out and wiping away the tears, the bumper pads went back up.

I figured if she can still breathe like this...

...then I think she'll be ok.

Don't worry, I unraveled the blanket from her head after I found her...and after snapping a quick picture :)

haha, i stopped bothering to remove the blanket from my kids heads because even in their sleep they just put it right back. i didn't realize that was a common things for kids to do.... or maybe our kids are just weird?

so i just saw your last post for the first time for some reason, not sure how i missed it. that is really crazy how she gets all blotchy when she cries! it's even crazier that i have never seen it, if only all babies were as happy as Soph!
